We’re self-publishing The Yellow Cottage: A Critter’s Tale, and every pre-order helps bring this story to life! Our Kickstarter runs August 12 – September 12, and we’re currently taking pre-orders here (and even by good old-fashioned mail) through September 30.
The more books we sell in advance, the bigger our print run can be—3,000, 4,000, or maybe even more. Every pre-order matters! Larger print runs lower the cost per book, which means we can share A Critter’s Tale with more families, classrooms, and communities.

When you choose Tier 6, 150 books will be donated to children's hospitals and charities across the Pacific Northwest, bringing comfort, creativity, and joy to young readers in need. As a heartfelt thank-you, you’ll receive a signed copy of the book, along with a matching sticker and bookmark for your personal collection. You’ll also receive a one-of-a-kind watercolor painting from the book, signed by illustrator Sarah Joy Silva—an original piece of the world you helped share. (Painting can feature up to two critter characters. The painting must be chosen and redeemed by end of 2026.)
Tier 7 - The Grand Top Tier
Support something truly special! With this top-tier pledge, 200 books, stickers, and bookmarks will be donated to children's hospitals and charities across the Pacific Northwest—spreading joy, comfort, and imagination to young readers who need it most.
As a heartfelt thank you from all the critters, your name will be proudly featured on the Acknowledgments Page in our book. You’ll also receive a personal bundle, including: 3 signed copies of the book (signed by both the Author and Illustrator), 3 stickers, 3 matching bookmarks, and 1 original, full-page watercolor painting from the book—hand-painted and signed by Illustrator Sarah Joy Silva.
